KONKA Holds Presentation for Livelihood Products

The Kababayen-an sa Opon nga Nagkahiusa alang sa Kalamboan or KONKA recently held an exciting event in Basak, Lapu-Lapu City. To present their products, the women’s group held a fun ‘barrio fiesta’-themed program. The event gathered under one roof the group’s members from the different barangays in Mactan.

Gracing the event was none other than Cong. Paz Radaza of the Lone District of Lapu-Lapu City. During her speech, she asked the members to continue working hard and to never give up. She also asked the guests to support local sellers and businesses, especially in these trying times.

The group is not just a simple circle of local women. In fact, aside from meetings and other activities, the group has helped empower women to succeed. In addition, free training had been given to members. Also, they were asked to join projects to help keep the city safe, clean, and beautiful.

Product Presentation

The KONKA event was held at the gym of Barangay Basak in Lapu-Lapu City. There, the products were displayed per cluster. The clusters, made up of several barangays, got to display the most popular dishes and products that they want the world to know about.
