11 Cebu Waterfalls to Include in your Bucket List – Part 2

When it comes to tourist spots and natural wonders, Cebu is truly blessed. Cebu has hot and cold springs, river systems, white-sand beaches, caves, mountain ranges, rock formations, crags, and natural pools. Cebu is also home to some of the most amazing waterfall systems in the country.

1. Calasa Falls
Location: Samboan, Cebu

  • Keep your eyes open for a roadside sign along the South National Road
  • 10-minute drive from the main highway
  • 15 minutes trek from the parking lot
  • Entrance fee: 20 pesos
  • Local guide needed
  • Trail may be confusing without previous knowledge of locality

2. Binalayan Hidden Falls
Location: Samboan, Cebu

  • A small waterfall with triple drops
  • Tourism Center/reception desk is only a few meters from the national highway
  • 15-minute trek to the falls from the Tourism Center
  • Limited parking
  • Entrance fee: 20 pesos
  • Paid guide: at least 50 pesos



3. Canlaob Falls
Location: Alegria, Cebu

  • Jump-off point for canyoning activities
  • Tourism Center/reception desk is 20 minutes from the national highway
  • 5-minute trek to the falls from the Tourism Center
  • Ample parking
  • Entrance fee: 50 pesos
  • Local guides: unspecified

4. Cancalanog Falls
Location: Alegria, Cebu

  • A small waterfall with a picturesque basin
  • 20 minutes from the national highway
  • 15-minute trek to the falls from the parking spot
  • Limited parking
  • Entrance fee: none
  • Local guides: none

5. Pityak Falls
Location: Dumanjug, Cebu

  • Cascading waterfalls visible from the access road
  • 20 minutes from the national highway
  • No trekking required
  • Road-side parking
  • Entrance fee: none
  • Local guides: none

6. Lusno Falls
Location: Ronda, Cebu

  • Located near the Ronda-Argao border
  • 30 minutes from Ronda proper
  • 10 minutes from main road
  • 15-minute trek from the park spot
  • Limited parking
  • Entrance fee: none
  • Local guides: none

7. Kabutongan Falls
Location: Malabuyoc, Cebu

  • A waterfall system perfect for extreme adventure enthusiasts
  • 20 minutes from the main highway
  • 20-minute trek to the main drop
  • Limited parking
  • Entrance fee: 20 pesos
  • Local guides: at least 50 pesos

8. Busay Falls
Location: Busay, Cebu City

  • Visible from the Lahug-Busay-TransCentral road
  • A seasonal waterfall in the highlands of Cebu City
  • 20 minutes from JY Square
  • Trekking required

9. Balayg Sawa Falls
Location: Samboan, Cebu

  • Tourism Center located 15 minutes from the Samboan town center
  • 15-minute trek to the waterfall
  • Slippery trail – take extra caution
  • Entrance fee: none
  • Local guide: none

10. Dau Falls
Location: Samboan, Cebu

  • Considered the highest waterfall in Samboan
  • Known for its picturesque rock formations
  • Tourism Center is located 20 minutes from the main road
  • 30-minute trek to the waterfall
  • Slippery/dangerous trail
  • Entrance fee: 20 pesos
  • Local guide: at least 50 pesos
  • Parking: Ample

11. Montañeza Falls
Location: Malabuyoc, Cebu

  • A waterfall system near the famous Mainit Springs of Malabuyoc
  • 15 minutes from the main highway
  • 10-minute trek to the main drop
  • Entrance fee: 20 pesos
  • Local guide: available
  • Parking: Ample
