New Globe Cell Site to Rise in Liloan Town

Globe Telecom recently broke ground on its new cell site in the town of Liloan. Located in Barangay San Roque, the project is set to rise within the property of Duros Land Properties, Inc. The new cell site, together with Duros’s other projects, is a welcome addition to Liloan’s ever-changing business and cultural landscape.

According to Mayor Frasco, the new cell site is expected to greatly improve connectivity in the area. She added that the development is very timely since most people now rely on their mobile connections to be informed and stay connected.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on August 10, 2020 at the world-class Liloan Golf Course and Leisure Estate. Present during the event were some of the key people who helped make the partnership possible. Among those who were present were Globe Business Manager Lou Ann Bacolod and Duros Land Properties, Inc. owners Mrs. Fe & Mr. Lito Barino. Liloan Mayor Christina Garcia Frasco and the town’s Vice Mayor and councilors were also in attendance.

A Welcome Development

According to Mayor Frasco, the construction of the cell site is a very welcome development. Not only will it give the town’s upland barangays better opportunities, but it will also place them on an equal footing with the lowland barangays.

Mr. Lito Barino, on the other hand said that helping build the cell site is one way of giving back to the community. As someone who wants nothing but the best for Liloan, he said that supporting the project was the right thing to do.

Dream Come True

Mayor Frasco revealed that getting a Globe cell site in Liloan’s upland barangays has been one of the town’s long-time goals. She said that the Liloan LGU is thankful to Globe Telecom for being the first to respond to the town’s call for better mobile connectivity, especially in the upland barangays.

She also expressed her sincere thanks to the movers and shakers of Duros Land who said yes to the project without any hesitation. According to her, with the success of this project, the town’s future is looking bright and full of promise.
