Michael Gleissner Donates Php4M for Covid-19 Response in Cebu and Lapu-Lapu
The long and difficult fight against the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic is far from over. However, Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu City received a much-needed boost recently in the form of a donation from businessman Michael Gleissner.
Donation from Michael Gleissner
Michael Gleissner donated Php2 million each to Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu City. This is to help strengthen the Covid-19 response of both cities. The donation is Gleissner’s way of commending the two local government units for their efforts. Currently, both cities have undertaken active measures to prevent the spread of the dreaded disease. Also, the donation was made to lessen the anxiety and burden of their constituents during this difficult time.
The donation was done through Gleissner’s official representative in Cebu Mr. Joe Mercado. Mr. Mercado turned over the donation to Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella on May 6, 2020.
