Grand Lechon Festival 2018 at The Mactan Newtown
Lechon lovers, rejoice!
The Mactan Newtown, in partnership with the city government of Lapu-Lapu, is once again holding the Grand Lechon Festival. Now on its second year, the festival aims to put the spotlight on every Cebuano’s favorite dish and promote Cebuano culture and culinary artistry.

The Grand Lechon Festival, which will run from August 1 to 12, is expected to attract not only the locals but also foreign guests who want to experience the authentic Cebuano lechon.
Headlining the event are eight of the best lechon makers or lechoneros in Cebu. During the festival, they will be serving their delicious lechon at special rates. Guests can also enjoy piping hot lechon straight from the roasting pit at the Mactan Alfresco’s lechon pit.

During the event, lechon will be served at a very special rate. From August 1 to 12, guests can buy a kilogram of lechon at only Php 400.00 from 3:21 pm to 4:21 pm. Lechon sellers will also be selling the lechon with pairing suggestions that will definitely take the lechon dining experience to a whole new level.
A Unique Experience
To make the festival even more exciting, guests can take part in the Grand Lechon parade on August 3 at 3pm. They can also take part in various fun activities like Ukulele Making, Jeepney Banquet, Live Roasting, Traditional Games, Lechon Tasting, and a whole lot more!
