Pier 88 and SeaBus Seen to Ease Traffic and Spur Developments in Northern Cebu

Pier 88, a port/commercial project by the Topline Group of Companies, will soon rise in the town of Liloan. Spanning around 3 hectares, the project will serve as a marine highway connecting the town to the rest of the island of Cebu. In addition, it is seen to improve traffic and movement in the northern half of the island.

Pier 88 is a mixed-use project that will have spaces for lease. In addition, it will house restaurants with open-air dining to allow guests to enjoy the wonderful view in the area. The project was done wit the help of the town of Liloan, Viking Land, FL International, and Topline Group of Companies. It is set to open in the middle of 2023.

Topline Seabus

One of the highlights of the Pier 88 project is the Topline Seabus. The Seabus is a modern water bus that will serve the new route. It has modern engines and can carry around 150 passengers. With the Topline Seabus, travel from Liloan to Cebu and Mactan is expected to become so much faster and easier. In fact, the sea bus is seen to cut travel time from 2 hours to just 30 to 45 minutes.

Ribbon-Cutting

The inauguration of Pier 88 was held on October 24, 2021 at the Pier 88 Port in Liloan, Cebu. Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, Liloan Mayor Christina Frasco, and 5th District Representative Duke Frasco were present during the event.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio was also invited to the event.






Mayor Sara Duterte together with Gov. Gwen Garcia, Mayor Christina Frasco, Congressman Duke Frasco, B/Gen Charito Plaza of PEZA, and Commisioner Mike Lopez of the Cebu Port Authority.

Joining them were Pier 88 Ventures VP and COO Kyle Gregory Uy, EVP of the Development Bank of the Philippines Mr. Jose Gabino Dimayuga, President and CEO of TGC Mr. Eugene Erik Lapasaran, and VP of Operations of TGC – Brigitte Carmel Lim- Mueller
