A Cuban Affair at JPark Island Resort’s Havana by the Sea

To celebrate the second anniversary of Havana by the Sea, JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu, the country’s premier waterpark resort, recently held a special intimate gathering. Aptly dubbed “Summer in Cuba,” the event was a celebration of summer, latin culture, and the scrumptious Cuban cuisine. Present during the event were members of the local media as well as some of Cebu’s top bloggers, vloggers, and social media personalities.

Havana by the Sea

The gorgeous Havana by the Sea was a fitting venue for the celebration. Havana by the Sea is JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu’s open-air restaurant and bar.

Perched atop the rocky slopes of the property, Havana by the Sea offers a wonderful view of the ocean and an all-encompassing view of the resort.

Summer in Cuba

As the event was a celebration of culture, music, and food, JPark Island Resort set up various kiosks to help guests get the full Latin vibe going.

A booth by Lucky Babies 2ZD offered guests necklaces, bracelets, scarves, and other trinkets to complete their Cuban look.

Another booth allowed guests to try and experience making their own mojitos with the help of experienced bartenders.

Cuban-Inspired Menu

The highlight of the event was the presentation of 14 Cuban-inspired dishes prepared by the multi-awarded Chef Mattia Pierluigi Stroppa – Havana by the Sea’s Head Chef and JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu’s Executive Western Chef.

Cuban Party

To make the event more memorable, the crew prepare fun games and surprises for all the guests. And, of course, no Cuban-themed party would be complete without great Latin music care of the resort’s in-house entertainers Amigos!
