A Filipino Feast for the Senses at UNO

Cebuano lovers of good Filipino food are in for a treat this month as the Waterfront Hotels bring to Cebu the Filipino Food Fest at Uno Cafe and Restaurant. With celebrity power couple Chefs Roland and Jackiet Laudico at the helm, Uno Restaurant’s Filipino Food Fest is expected to become one of this year’s most important culinary affairs. The Filipino Food Festival is not only a celebration of the rich Cebuano culinary culture; it also gives honor to the Cebuanos’ appetite for great-tasting culinary wonders. And to make things even more exciting, Chefs Roland and Jackie have re-imagined some of our most beloved dishes to quench our unending desire for new flavors.

Here are some scenes from the launch of this year’s most talked about food festival which was attended by members of the local media as well as some of the most important names in Cebu.

Present during the launch were Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña, Enrico Dionson of Rico’s Lechon, Waterfront Airport Hotel And Casino Hotel Manager Benhur Caballes, and Waterfront Hotel General Manager Anders Goran Helge Hallden.

Mr. Anders Hallden welcoming guests to one of hotel’s biggest events this year.

Of course, present to welcome guests was the couple of the hour: Chefs Roland and Jackie Laudico.

Chefs Jackie and Roland are huge advocates of promoting Filipino flavors. And it is not surprising that their collaboration with Waterfront Hotels and Casino will revolve around the dishes that we all love.

By combining old flavors with new ingredients, the Laudicos succeeded in creating new culinary masterpieces that Cebuanos of all ages will surely love.
