Cebuanos Join AVON’s Walk of Awareness
Walk of Awareness
Last October 23, 2016, hundreds of Cebuanos joined Avon’s Walk of Awareness. Headlined by celebrity coaches Jim and Toni Saret together with Kapuso primetime hunk Rocco Nacino, AVON’s 130 Million Steps Campaign was able to gather hundreds of advocates and fitness enthusiasts at the historic Plaza Independencia open square.
Avon, the global company for women, has been one of the world’s leading advocates in the fight against breast cancer. And this year, as a special way of celebrating its 130th anniversary in the business, the world-famous brand started a truly commendable campaign. Dubbed the #130MillionSteps Campaign, the project aims to raise 130 million steps for the whole month of October to get the message across that despite the difficulty, the fight against breast cancer hasn’t stopped and millions of people across the globe are working very hard to prevent and hopefully put an end to it.
According to celebrity coaches Toni and Jim Saret, the Walk of Awareness is their personal contribution to the cause. It is also their way of encouraging people to walk for a purpose and share their hopes with those who are affected by breast cancer.
