One of the many things that I focus on when visiting a hotel for the very first time is the lobby. I must say that The Henry Hotel Cebu’s lobby is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It’s quirky, it’s fun, and it’s completely fresh. Heck, even if you’re not the type of person who enjoys selfies, the hotel lobby has enough interesting bits to keep you (and your mobile phone) busy the whole day. 4/5

Aside from the lobby, one of the many things that really catch my attention are the hotel’s open areas. Open areas are the hallway, foyer area, stairs, cafes, restrooms, leisure rooms and basically anything that even non-guests can access. While it doesn’t always follow, my experiences tell me that hotels with excellent open areas are usually the ones with the best rooms. At the Henry Hotel Cebu, the open spaces are not only well-designed and well-maintained, they are also very Instagram-ready. 4/5

Now, let me just begin by stating that the rooms at the Henry Hotel Cebu are nothing short of gorgeous! It is pretty obvious that a great deal of preparation went into the creation and designing of each room. Utilizing different themes and set-ups, the rooms are also almost three times the size of normal rooms. These rooms are not just big. They’re really humongous! If you want a staycation that lets you truly breathe and unwind, the Henry Hotel Cebu is the perfect spot for you. 5/5

While design, price, and experience are some of the most important things that we all look for in a hotel, one of the best indicators that your stay is going to be swell is the presence of able-bodied, polite, friendly, cheerful, and very energetic team of hotel workers. At the Henry Hotel Cebu, the workers are very polite, attentive, and well-trained. They even go out of their way just to keep the guests happy and satisfied. 4/5

The Henry Hotel Cebu is a boutique hotel. This means that it is a small hotel (with only around 10 to 100 rooms) with upscale accommodations. For a boutique hotel, I must say that the price is not a big issue. However, taking into consideration all the good things that came out of staying at a beautifully-crafted room for the weekend, I must say that the rate is actually really competitive and my stay was definitely worth it. 4/5

Overall, I give the Henry Hotel Cebu 4 out of 5 points. In an ocean of new brands with similar concepts and business models, the Henry Hotel Cebu managed to stand out because of its being laid back, original, youthful, fun, and quirky.
