Philippine Airlines Elevates Booking Experience with New Distribution Capability (NDC) Integration

Philippine Airlines (PAL), the country’s flag carrier, is ushering in a new era of air travel distribution with the launch of a cutting-edge booking and sales platform powered by the New Distribution Capability (NDC) from Amadeus.

The NDC standard revolutionizes the way PAL interacts with travel partners and customers, offering direct access to a wide range of personalized content, from flight schedules and seat selection to in-flight meals and other ancillary services.

This major upgrade aims to enhance personalization, increase transparency, and boost overall efficiency across the travel experience.

With NDC, PAL’s travel partners can now offer customized ancillary products such as prepaid baggage, meal preferences, and seat selection — tailored to meet individual passenger needs.

PAL’s NDC content will be accessible through three channels:

• Connect API – for direct integration with travel agency ticketing systems
• Connect Hub – a user-friendly portal for travel agents
• Connect+ – access to NDC content via aggregator platforms

The initial rollout will cover key international markets including the United States, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

To ensure a smooth transition, PAL will continue supporting the existing Global Distribution System (GDS) alongside the new NDC platform.
