#SuperStay at Summit Hotels and Resorts: A Peek of What’s To Come
With Summit Galleria Cebu finally opening in a couple of weeks, the interest in this super deluxe hotel by Robinsons Land Corporation is at an all-time high. The attention is understandable, however, as the property is considered one of the most exciting projects in Cebu to date. With 220 rooms that showcase the distinct local colors of Cebu, the hotel will no doubt become a valuable addition to the ever-growing list of unique must-visit destinations in Cebu City.
Managed by the multi-awarded Robinsons Land Corporation, Inc, the real estate arm of leading conglomerate JG Summit Holdings, Inc, Summit Galleria Cebu is considered the flagship hotel of Summit Hotels and Resort. Summit Hotels and Resort’s portfolio currently consists of Summit Ridge in Tagaytay; Summit Circle in Fuente Osmeña, Cebu; Summit Hotel Magnolia in New Manila, Quezon City; Summit Galleria Cebu which will open in August; and Summit Hotel Tacloban which is set to open in the 4Q of 2017.
For a sneak peek of what the Cebuanos and the rest of the world can expect from this exciting new project, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts recently gathered members of the VisMin media for three days of truly fun and unforgettable #SuperStay at Summit Ridge in Tagaytay and Summit Hotel Magnolia in Quezon City.
Summit Hotel Magnolia
The ultimate #SuperStay began at Summit Hotel Magnolia in New Manila. It was here where media guests from Cebu, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao gathered for the start of an exciting 3-day staycation.
Summit Hotel Magnolia is an 82-room boutique hotel located right in the heart of Quezon City. Nestled within the Robinsons Magnolia mall complex, the hotel boasts of stylish rooms with vibrant artworks, posh furniture, and state of the art amenities.

After checking in, the media guests were officially welcomed to the event by Ms. Lisette Arena, Senior Marketing Manager of Summit Hotels and Resorts.
The short introduction and get-together was done over lunch at the awesome Uncle Cheffy restaurant at the Robinsons Magnolia mall.
After the amazing lunch, it was time to check out the hotel rooms.
The rooms at Summit Hotel Magnolia are equipped with a 42-inch LED TV, a business desk, and huge, comfortable beds with plush bedding.
The stylish bathrooms are stocked with premium bath products from Genevier.
Later in the afternoon, the group dropped by Breakout Manila to check out the first real-life escape room game in the country. And that evening, the entire group walked to the mall next door for a filling dinner at MESA.
MESA serves a bevy of Filipino culinary masterpieces that look (and more importantly taste) great.
The next day, the group had a very early breakfast at the Clubhouse Restaurant of Summit Hotel Magnolia.
A complimentary breakfast (sausages, egg, bread, fruits, and drinks) is included in the price of the room.

SideTrip – Tito Chef
On their way to Tagaytay, the group dropped by Tito Chef Restaurant and All Things Culinary in Parañaque. This dainty restaurant, which is run by the charming Chef Menoy Gimenez, is a perfect mix of elegance and comfort.
Chef Menoy and his team served the group a six-course lunch which left everyone on the edge of their seats.
After the hearty meal, it was time to head to the city of Tagaytay.
Summit Ridge Tagaytay
A couple of hours later, the group reached Summit Ridge Tagaytay in Tagaytay City.
Upon arrival, the group quickly checked into their spacious rooms to see what awaits them.
A view of Summit Ridge Tagaytay and the next-door Summit Ridge Promenade which features various dining outlets. And guests who couldn’t get enough of Chef Menoy’s cooking will be pleased to know that he will be running the hotel’s onsite a la carte restaurant beginning June 17th!
View from one of Summit Ridge Tagaytay’s rooms. It is important to note that all, and we mean ALL 108 rooms of the hotel offer a stunning view of Taal Volcano.
Taal Lake and the picture-perfect Taal Volcano as seen from one of the hotel rooms.
After a quick rest, the guests were given a tour of the whole property. The first stop was the hotel’s spacious meetings, incentives, conventions, and events facility. Like all of the hotel’s rooms, the hall offers a fantastic view of Taal.
The hotel also has a well-maintained gym which is perfect for gym buffs and workout enthusiasts.
The third stop was one of the hotel’s suites. The spacious suite has a large living area, a fully furnished kitchen area, two bed rooms, and a huge bathroom.
The hotel also has a leaf-shaped infinity pool for those who prefer to be in the water even when it’s (sometimes) freezing.
One of the hotel’s come-ons is the Ridge Spa, a full-service spa that offers various spa and massage services.
Guests can choose to come to the spa or have the staff visit them in their rooms for in-room sessions.
The spa and massage rooms at The Ridge SPA are clean, luxurious, and very comfortable.
SideTrip – Nurture Wellness Village
After the hotel tour, the guests travelled to a nearby wellness village for a short interactive farm tour. During the tour, the guests were shown the different medicinal plants grown in the area, the local services that they offer, as well as some local activities like kite-making, weaving, carabao-feeding, sipa ball-making and many more.
Guests were also shown the available accommodations at the Nurture Wellness Village. These accommodations are designed with comfort, relaxation, and wellness in mind.
After the tour, and before calling it a night, guests were treated to a scrumptious dinner at Casino Filipino – Tagaytay.
Early the next day, the whole group dropped by Bag of Beans for a quick breakfast.
Bag of Beans is one of Tagaytay’s most popular culinary haunts. People come here not only for the food but also for the amazing ambiance.
Every nook and cranny of the restaurant is Instagram-worthy.
And the dining areas are divided into different sections, each one having a different theme.
And their serving of Big Breakfast is indeed BIG!
After the hearty meal, it was time to travel back to Manila for the final leg of the trip.
The group went straight to lunch at Ka Tunying’s Cafe at NAIA Terminal 3.
There, the VisMin media guests were welcomed by the Summit Hotels and Resorts Team and the Cebu Pacific Team.
After lunch, it was time to prepare for the trip back home. Checking in was a breeze thanks to Cebu Pacific’s app. The app allows users to book and check in a flight. It’s so convenient!
The weekend staycation at Summit Hotels and Resorts’ Summit Ridge Tagaytay and Summit Hotel Magnolia was a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of city living. It also gave the VisMin media guests a chance to make new bonds, share lasting memories, and gain new insights and knowledge through the people they met.
You, too, can make lasting memories and awesome experiences at any of Summit Hotels and Resorts’ five properties.
