Hukad Kafe – One Mango is Now Open!

Cebuano homegrown restaurant brand Hukad Kafe has recently opened its newest branch at the heart of Cebu City. Located at One Mango Arcade, at the bustling ‘Mango Avenue’, the branch is perfect for foodies in the midtown area.

A Brand New Hukad Kafe

The new Hukad Kafe is part of the Golden Cowrie chain. Therefore, it serves the same delicious and truly appetizing signature dishes of the Hukad Kafe brand. This time, however, it is done in a cozy, vibrant, and unique setting. You won’t miss the tropical and fresh theme that is reflected in all dining areas of the restaurant the moment you step in. Splashed with vibrant greens and soothing colors, the restaurant’s interiors take you on a quick seaside getaway while enjoying your delicious meal right in the middle of the busy city.

The second floor of the restaurant offers multiple dining areas – each one made private and intimate by carefully-placed walls. Additionally, when booked exclusively, the second level can comfortably accommodate up to 100 guests at a time. The veranda is a lavish dining nook with soothing wooden colors and lush greens. Indeed, it is a perfect spot for those who want to enjoy their food in perfect tropical bliss.

A New Culinary Journey

The blessing and opening of Hukad Kafe were held on Friday, December 8, 2023. The event was intimate but joyous. It was attended by friends, partners, local government heads, members of the media, stakeholders, and special guests. The Cebu City government, in full support of the new venture, was represented by Vice Mayor Raymond Garcia, Councilor Dondon Hontiveros, and Cebu City Tourism Commission Chairperson Joy Pesquera. Also present were members of the Kokseng Family – the owners of the brand, members of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), and HRRAC President Alfred Reyes, among others.

Mr. Edwin Ortiz, during his welcome speech, shared that opening a Hukad restaurant on Mango Avenue was a sensible decision. As a restaurateur himself, Mr. Ortiz understands that the brand was perfect for that exact location. Not only is the area bustling with life, but it is also very close to hotels, hostels, condominiums, and Airbnb units that cater to both local and foreign visitors. Mr. Ortiz stressed that with the restaurant sitting directly along the main road and having a truly impressive menu, people would come in droves to check out this new dining destination.
