ANS Sports 3×3 18 and Under Basketball Tournament Gears Up for Unforgettable Showdown
The countdown has begun for a basketball extravaganza that promises to leave fans on the edge of their seats. The ANS Sports 3×3 18 and Under Basketball Tournament, powered by Gatorade, is set to unfold this September, at the prestigious Sisters of Mary School Boystown in Minglanilla, Cebu.

With a grand vision of hosting 40-50 teams and more representing diverse Cebu schools and clubs, the ANS Sports 3×3 Tournament is poised to become a hallmark event in the local basketball scene. Supported by SBP-Region 7 (Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas), this event celebrates the unity and fervor that the basketball community embodies.
New Schedule and Extended Registration
In response to overwhelming enthusiasm and demand, the ANS Sports 3×3 Tournament (both for boys and girls) has been rescheduled to September 9-10, 2023, at the same venue. The registration deadline has been extended until September 2. This offers teams more time to submit the required documents as requested by the screening/registration committee.
With the recent nod of approval from the head of CESAFI (Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc.), Mr Felix Tiukinhoy, Jr., has expressed interest in participating in the event. The decision to reschedule was done to ensure the best possible experience for all participants. This adjustment will accommodate the growing number of requests for the deadline of registration. Additionally, this will create an even more competitive and engaging tournament atmosphere.
New Dates, Same Passion
With the steadfast support of SBP-Region 7 (Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas), the ANS Sports 3×3 18 and Under Basketball Tournament is a testament to the power of collaboration in nurturing the basketball talents in the region. With a strong commitment to community welfare, a portion of the event’s proceeds will be dedicated to supporting the Sisters of Mary School Boystown, a poignant gesture towards education and social progress.
Exciting Prizes Await
The tournament proudly opens its doors to both male and female athletes, emphasizing inclusivity and equal opportunities for participation. The tournament’s rescheduling only heightens the anticipation for the exceptional prizes awaiting the champions. In the Boys Category, the first-place team will secure a grand prize of P30,000. On the other hand, the second and third placers will take home P20,000 and P5,000 respectively. The tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) will be awarded P5,000.
For the Girls Category, the stakes remain high with a “Winner Takes All” prize of P10,000.
Cebu’s Young Basketball Icons
Adding to the excitement, the event will see the presence of Cebu’s young basketball ambassadors. These ambassadors, who have etched their names in Philippine basketball history, will help promote ANS Sports 3×3.
Jared Bahay – Leading the charge with his Palarong Pambansa leadership, team representing Region 7 from SHS – Ateneo de Cebu. He’s a Batang Gilas player with a commitment to the UP Fighting Maroons.
Zachary Huang – Donning Jersey No. 13, he is a Chooks to Go 3×3 Player. He is also a key member of the UST Growling Tigers, and the MPBL San Juan Knights.
Andres Paul Desiderio – Recognizable in Jersey No. 18, he brings the experience of a UP Fighting Maroon. A former PBA player, Desiderio is also currently a Chooks-to-Go 3×3 Player.

A media launch was held at the Black Smokehaus in Alang-Alang, Mandaue to herald the upcoming event. In attendance were Allied Network Solutions General Manager, Aris Prieto; ANS Sports Chairman, Marvin Aller; Sports Tournament Director of ANS Sports Jojo de Veyra Saso; and Bon Rosito, Program Director and Commissioner of ANS Sports.

The media launch was also attended by its Major Sponsors, bloggers, and members of the media. A team from Sisters of Mary School (SOM) who’s also taking part in the tournament, was also present. The media launch was also delighted by their ambassadors’ presence Paul Desiderio and Jared Bahay.
