Cebu Landmasters Inc,’s Masters Tower Cebu to Open in 2025
Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI), the leading developer in the Visayas and Mindanao, unveiled on February 19, 2021 its newest project in Cebu City. Aptly called Masters Tower Cebu, the iconic project will be 50 stories tall and will be topped off 192 meters above sea level. Planned by some of the world’s most well-known designers, the project is a truly welcome addition to the ever-changing skyline of Metro Cebu.
Masters Tower Cebu

Masters Tower Cebu is a multi-use project that will soon rise at the Cebu Business Park. Expected to be completed in 2025, the tower will have premier office and retail spaces. In addition, it will also have a five-star luxury hotel.

Masters Tower Cebu is CLI’s ‘most iconic architectural structure’ to date — a development that perfectly represents the Queen City of the South. Valued at over Php4 billion, the project will sit on a prime 2,840sqm corner lot at the CBP. Once completed, the 1920-meter tall building will become one of Metro Cebu’s tallest structures.
The groundbreaking ceremony of Masters Tower Cebu is slated for the second quarter of 2021. According to CLI CEO Jose Soberano III, “This project is the culmination of our learnings as a full-line developer catering to a range of markets in one of the most dynamic regions of the country.” He added, “We want to build this project for Cebu. We want to show our positive outlook for this growing city.”
A Cebuano Icon
According to the team behind the project, Masters Tower Cebu will be an icon like no other. As one of the very first structures to rise in 2021, the project was designed with the health, security, and safety of users in mind.

The design team for this development is the tandem of Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (SOM) and GF Partners, and Architects. SOM is the designer of some of the world’s most well-known high rises. Some of their projects include the One World Trade Center in New York and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. GF Partners and Architects, for their part, will work together with SOM to help give the building a world-class yet truly Cebuano design.

Based on the design, office spaces will occupy floors 8th to 12th. Additionally, the structure will have modern and timely features. For example, the office spaces will have horizontal louvers to reduce solar heat by almost 70%. Also, the sky gardens on every floor will help improve the well-being of the building’s occupants.

Sofitel Cebu City
Aside from office spaces, Masters Tower Cebu will also house the very first 5-star luxury hotel in Cebu City, Sofitel Cebu City. Sofitel Cebu City will be operated by Accor, a France-based multinational hospitality group. The hotel will occupy floors 14th to 32nd. It will have a total of 195 guest rooms, a grand ballroom, and 2 restaurants. It will also have an executive lounge, several meeting rooms, a roof deck, a swimming pool, a gym, and a spa.

The lobby of the hotel on the 16th floor will have an atrium to allow natural light to enter. On the other hand, the sky gardens will give the guest rooms a more relaxing feel. Finally, the roof deck will offer a 360-degree view of the metro.

CLI is confident that with the economy bouncing back in the coming months, the project will be well-received. Soberano said, “We are optimistic that the industry will bounce back particularly in the Visayas and Mindanao. In these areas, there is a high potential for more international hotel players and tourism demands for quality hospitality experiences. Masters Tower Cebu will ensures that CLI will be a key player in that space, and be in the forefront of the industry’s recovery.”
