Metro Ayala, Cebu’s favorite shopping destination is finally back. On January 29, 2021, two years after it was closed to the public, a new and upgraded Metro Ayala is finally welcoming back shoppers to its original location in Ayala Center Cebu. For most Cebuanos, the rebuilding of the store has been one of the most exciting events over the past years. And now, finally, the iconic Cebuano brand is once again ready to serve its loyal customers. Here are five things you need to know about the reopening of Cebu-based retailer Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc.’s flagship store Metro Ayala.

Now Fully Operational

After it officially opens its doors to Cebuanos on January 29th, the new Metro Ayala will be fully operational. This means that all original levels will already be open. The six floors will house the same selections that shoppers love. Additionally, a new floor will be opening in the coming days to serve as the shoppers’ go-to place for exciting food adventures.

A More Stylish and More Modern Metro Ayala

The brand new Metro Ayala now sports a clean and modern look. The main entrance, for example, features sharp lines and details that add to the feel of the new store. Glass elements have also been added to the store’s look to make the shopping experience more relaxing and exciting.

Also, each floor has wide walking spaces to make moving from one area to another quick and easy. The displays have also been improved to make movement within the store (under the new normal) safe and fast.

Al fresco Dining

The seventh floor of the new building will house the store’s food court. The food court will have food booths that look like buffet counters. A dining area with glass walls will also let shoppers enjoy the view while they enjoy their food.

The food court will carry a mix of local and national food brands that shoppers will surely love. An activity area has also been set aside to entertain diners as they have lunch, snacks, or dinner.

Amazing Treats on Grand Opening Day

From n January 29 to February 7, 2021, Metro Ayala will be offering shoppers special treats and deals. Shoppers can enjoy discounts of up to 70% on some items, P50 Peso Buys at the Supermarket and Department Store, and even Buy-1-Take-1 deals on special items. MRC cardholders will also get triple points for their purchases.

A Retail Experience Like No Other at Metro Ayala

The brand wants to give everyone the shopping experience that they deserve and need. For this reason, the displays are always complete and well-organized. The Furniture Department at the basement, for example, carries various trusted and quality home and office furniture brands. One of them is the Sauder branded furniture from North America.

The Metro Ayala Supermarket, on the other hand, carries imported Asian, American, and European items that Cebuanos love. Among them are popular imported brands of noodles, cooking needs, health products, fresh produce, and a whole lot more.

The Houseware Department also carries different appliance brands that people trust the world over. Some of them include Oneida, Crockpot, Hamilton Beach, and Gibson, among others.
