Join the Decode 2021 Cybersecurity Conference by Trend Micro This November

Trend Micro Philippines, the Global leader in cybersecurity, is once again bringing together experts from different parts of the globe for a yearly conference. Happening from November 10 to 12, 2021, this year’s event is called DECODE 2021: DEC1DE. DEC0DE.

The conference on cybersecurity is a gathering of leaders and experts from different organizations. Its aim is not only to engage members of the industry and discuss trends and technologies but also to focus on recent and expected threats in IT.

Trend Micro, known as a home of security experts who are #EngineeredToDoGood for Filipinos, has been holding this event for half a decade now. And aside from sharing knowledge and information, the event also seeks to inspire professionals to continue to grow and develop.

DECODE 2021

DECODE 2021 will have six keynote speakers across 32 sessions. Around 2000 professionals are expected to attend this year’s event with the theme DECODE 2021: DEC1DE. DEC0DE.

The event will highlight time as a factor in decision-making when it comes to preventing and resolving threats. It will also give professionals the knowledge they need to deal with risks when they appear. 

Keynote Speakers

The speakers this year include the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) cybercrime project coordinator Alexandru Caciuloiu who will talk about how cybercrime is changing and growing in Southeast Asia

Another speaker will be the Cybercrime Directorate of INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) INTERPOL’s head of the Cybercrime Intelligence Unit Shane Cross. He will talk about cybercrime through the lens of law enforcement.

Other speakers include Trend Micro Director of Managed XDR Jay Yaneza, Meralco VP Mel T. Migriño, and Cyber Risk GmbH’s Social Engineering Security Specialist Christina Lekati. FBI Cyber Division Intelligence Analyst Lauren Seawright, and Trend Micro Senior Threat Researcher David Sancho will also be there.

Tracks Line-up

Trend Micro is also bringing back its lineup of tracks, titled “The Digital Frontier, No More Secrets, Business Unusual, and Securing the Security Landscape”. The tracks cover different topics and will also have several guest speakers. Guests may attend any of the sessions during the three-day event.

The “Digital Frontier” track will be about the risks and threats of the latest changes in cybersecurity such as AI and machine learning (ML). Under the “No More Secrets” track, speakers will look into trends and challenges related to private data.

The tracks “Business Unusual” and “Securing the Security Landscape” will introduce the most recent studies in the field as well as popular cybercrime investigations.

The third day of the event will have a special schedule for women and students. This is made possible through Trend Micro’s “Get IT Girl!” program. It will have talks on “Careers in Cybersecurity,” and “Cybersecurity Fundamentals.”

Lounges

DECODE 2021 will feature virtual lounges for participants to network and meet fellow experts between sessions. The sessions will also be accessible to participants online for up to one year after the conference. They will only need to input their registration details to see materials from the event for free.
