Cebu In Review: March 2017

The month of March is over. But we all just can’t seem to recover from all the amazing events that made the graduation month truly one for the books.

So let us revisit some of the many events that helped usher in the summer months in our good ole Cebu.

 

March 7 – Conquistadores Launch

Quest Hotel and Conference Center – Cebu launched Conquistadores – their month-long dinner buffet featuring the culinary treasures of Spain at Puso Bistro and Bar.

 

March 10-12 – Beat the Heat Travel Fair

Air You Go Travels | Experience held the 2017 Beat D’ Heat Summer Travel Expo. The event, which was held at Ayala Center Cebu, ran from March 10th to 12th.

March 19 – Uke Hub Cafe Media Craft Party

Cebu’s newest themed cafe Uke Hub Kafe held a craft party for bloggers and members of the local media. During the event, guests were taught how to play and design their own ukulele. They were also serenaded by local Youtube sensation Caloy Juapo.

March 22 – XTerra Danao Presscon

XTerra marked its return to Cebu this year with an intimate gathering at Danao City’s Coco Palms Resort. During the event, the organizers shared the race plans as well as some of the many reasons why the province of Cebu was once again chosen as this year’s host.

March 25 – JPark Blogger Contest

Top family resort JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu held a fun competition for bloggers and social media influencers. During the competition, participants were asked to roam around, take photographs, and share with their followers their awesome experience at the resort.

March 25 – Tim Ho Wan Opens

Michelin-starred restaurant Tim Ho Wan finally opened its very first store in the island. Tim How Wan’s first store in Cebu is located at SM Seaside City Cebu at the South Road Properties.

March 25 – Earth Hour at Ayala Center Cebu

Ayala Center Cebu joined the whole world in celebrating the annual Earth Hour. From 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, around 50 mall tenants participated in this global initiative by turning off all their lights.

March 28 – Watson’s’ #MakeYourSummer Summer Campaign Launch

Watson’s Philippines launched their #MakeYourSummer Summer Campaign at their store in SM City Cebu. The event, which was attended by members of the local media also marked the start of their summer promo which will reward lucky winners with getaways to Batanes, Boracay, Cebu, Davao, and Palawan.
