Cebuano ramen lovers, rejoice! Japan’s best ramen is finally here in Cebu!

Gerry’s Grill’s top man Gerry Apolinario recently partnered with Chefs Yoshi Ishise, Tomio Hakada, and Nori Suzuki to bring to Cebu one of Hokkaido’s most popular noodle houses – Ramen Sora.

Awarded a five star rating by travel website tripadvisor.com, Ramen Sora is popular not only in Japan but also in other parts of the world. Its most popular branch is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Its first branch in the Philippines, on the other hand, was opened in 2014 in Subic. And this year, Cebuanos finally get a chance to experience Sapporo in Hokkaido without even leaving Cebu.

“At Ramen Sora, we put our heart and soul into preparing dishes because we want to make our customers happy,” Chef Yoshi explained. When asked why Ramen Sora is considered one of Japan’s best, he said: “We offer everything authentic!” This means that the restaurant only uses traditional methods in preparing their ramen. And of course, there’s the restaurant’s delicate selection process when it comes to picking the best and freshest ingredients available in the market.
