Five Exciting Island Central Mactan Projects to Watch Out for This 2019

Island Central Mactan, Mactan Island’s most happening mall, is set to make 2019 an amazing year for every Cebuano. During their Tenants Appreciation Night last December 8, Mr. Edwin Lim, Island Central Mactan CEO, said that aside from the scheduled grand opening of the mall which will happen at the end of the the first quarter of 2019, the mall will also have a line of exciting new offerings that will surely make headlines.

Island Central Mactan will soon have its very own cinemas. Once these cinemas open, the residents of Mactan no longer have to brave the horrible traffic to cross the Mactan Channel just to be able to watch a movie.


Island Central Mactan is set to have the grand opening of their food hall which is located at the top floor of the mall. The food hall will house some of the biggest names and will offer a wide array of choices for the mall’s international clientele.


During the Tenant Appreciation Night held last December 8, 2018, Island Central Mactan CEO Edwin Lim announced that the brand will soon start working on the Mactan Wharf expansion which will have a boardwalk, commercial units, and even a hotel.

As a waterfront hub for transport and lifestyle, Island Central Mactan just recently unveiled their new ferry passenger service Topline Marina. The ferry service will have 2 vessels for its initial operation and will be having 32 trips from Mactan to Pier 3 in Cebu City (and vice versa) during its daily 16-hour operation. Fees are initially set at Php25 (regular,) Php22 (students,) and Php20 (senior citizens.)


Island Central Mactan is also set to open on their roof deck one of the biggest sky bars in the country. The ICM Sky Lounge and Bar will house 10 themed restobars and will offer an amazing view of the Mactan Channel and the whole Metro Cebu.

Island Central Mactan is a resort mall with 6-level mixed-use waterfront hub for transport and lifestyle. It has both commercial retail and BPO office component strategically located within Mactan Economic Zone in Lapu-Lapu City. It is a complex of shops representing merchandisers with interconnecting walkways enabling visitors to walk from unit to unit along with a parking area and a modern, indoor version of a traditional marketplaces. It has various tenant mix which houses a supermarket, restaurants, service shops, concept stores, travel lounge, sky lounge and bars, and event area to cater the growing demand of both the locals and domestic and international tourists.
